Jamie Oliver expressed concern over future trade deals with America after Brexit.

Has expressed a particular worry over genetically modified crops from the US. 

Jamie Oliver is bezorgd dat na de Brexit een vloedgolf aan gentech producten en gewassen het VK binnen zullen stromen vanwege toekomstige handelsonderhandelingen met de USA.

Hij vertelde de Daily Mail dat zulke producten in de EU niet voorkomen. Natuurlijk wel. Wat hij waarschijnlijk bedoelt, is, dat er geen haast gentech gewassen worden geteeld en dat gentechproefvelden nu schaars zijn in het VK en de EU. Plus dat bij meer dan 0,9% er op de etiketten vermeld moet staan dat er gentech ingrediënten in zitten of daarmee zijn gemaakt. Maar Eurocommisaris Junker heeft pas nog met de Amerikaanse president Trump afgesproken dat hij EU gentech soja en medische toepassingen (w.o. gentech medicijnen o.a.) uit de USA toestaat. Gentechsoja voor voedsel en veevoer. De EU zal deze invoeren en op de EU markt brengen.

Weer nieuwe toelatingen op de EU markt van gentech soja en mais, u kon uw mening geven tot 8 augustus 2019.

Niet alle vakken hoeven te worden ingevuld, u kunt in uw eigen taal en woorden schrijven, BV dat u het niet wilt eten en het er niet mee eens bent. Laat je niet op het verkeerde been zetten, door de wetenschappelijke taal die bovenaan de vakken staan. Burgers kunnen o.a. in het vakje “Others” op het formulier (2x o.a. onderaan) gewoon hun mening kwijt. De links naar de invulpagina´s van de formulieren staan helemaal onderaan in dit bericht. De uiteindelijke bezwaren van anderen, o.a. van Testbiotech, en van ons, nu vertaald oor de EFSA en op de EU site gezet.

Help Zuid-Afrika door bezwaar te maken tegen drie Gentech maisrassen bedoeld voor teelt.

De maisrassen zijn bestand gemaakt tegen de herbiciden glyfosaat, glufosinaat-ammonium en DAS-40278-9.
2,4-D, een ingrediënt van dit laatst genoemde herbicide werd uitgevonden tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog en is een van de oudste herbiciden die nog steeds op de markt zijn. Het is één van de twee actieve bestanddelen van Agent Orange, het beruchte ontbladeringsmiddel tijdens de Vietnamoorlog.

Help South-Africa against the field release of three GM Maize´s.
One of the ingredients of the herbicide Das-40278 where these maize´s have resistance to, is 2,4-D and was invented in the chemical boom during World War II, making it one of the oldest herbicides that’s still legally on the market today. It was one of the two active ingredients in Agent Orange, the notorious Vietnam War defoliant. (Source).
