Een nieuw postzegelontwerp van De Gentechvrije Burgers die wijst op het gebruik van gentech olie in bijvoorbeeld een restaurant. In tegenstelling tot andere landen (o.a. Duitsland) hoeft het in Nederland niet op de menukaart te staan als men bijvoorbeeld met gentech soja olie (heet vaak “slaolie” ) bakt, die in veel gevallen als goedkoopste olie wordt gebruikt. Ook vaak bij een visboer of loempiaverkoper (niet altijd) ! En waar wordt de patat in gebakken? Vraag er naar!

Many live attenuated vaccines for animals are manufactured by using cell lines from animals, which are known to produce infectious [endogenous retroviruses] ERVs; however, the risks of infection by ERVs from xenospecies through vaccination have been ignored,[1] and which may contribute to, or cause, serious diseases like cancer in exposed populations.
The General Court of the European Union today confirmed the right of civil society organisations to submit legal cases concerning the health risks of genetically engineered plants. Last week eight scientists told two California judges that the evidence points them in one direction: Exposure to Monsanto’s Roundup weedkiller can cause non-Hodgkin lymphoma (a potentially deadly cancer) in humans.
It’s now up to U.S. District Court Judge Vince Chhabria and California State Court Judge Ioana Petrou to decide whether to believe the scientists and allow hundreds of lawsuits against Monsanto go to trial—or deny cancer victims their day in court, based on Monsanto’s claims that Roundup is safe.
