Uit nieuw onderzoek blijkt dat milieuvriendelijk boeren meer concurrerend is.
Helen Holder, European GMO campaigner at Friends of the Earth Europe said:
“The genetic modification approach to farming is failing despite the hype, public funding and political will. Greener farming stimulates the economy, benefits the environment and the public loves it.”
Ondanks de grote investeringen van de EU in de afgelopen 25 jaar zijn er pas 2 genetische producten in de handel.
Milieuvriendelijk boeren daarentegen creëert meer banen, is goed voor de economie, goed voor het milieu (minder energie, minder water, minder pesticiden) en de mensen waarderen het.
