While some companies like General Mills have already begun voluntary labeling, the Department of Agriculture’s new instructions for compliance are not clear to manufacturers and retailers.

GMO- Labels in de USA op producten met gentech ingrediënten. Pas bij 5% vervuiling, niet in restaurants niet bij zuivel. Bioengineering= gentech.

Vertaling: Frankrijk verbiedt meerdere herbiciden waar glyfosaat in zit.

Maandag zei het Franse gezondheids- en milieu agentschap dat het meerdere herbiciden met glyfosaat verbiedt, het betreft de meeste die in Frankrijk worden verkocht, omdat er te weinig informatie aangeleverd is om gezondheidsrisico´s uit te kunnen sluiten.

Bezorgd over technologie Jan Storms, Storms WATP, verwoordt de bedenkingen bij de technologie: ,,Als je een gen uit een organisme haalt en dat gen in het genoom van een ander organisme sluist, dan staat dat niet gelijk aan het overbrengen van een welomlijnde eigenschap van organisme A naar organisme B. Genen functioneren niet in afzondering, maar in samenhang met de totale genetisch achtergrond en met alle andere niveaus van biologische organisatie. Je hebt dus een gen losgehaald uit het oorspronkelijke oneindig ingewikkelde netwerk en geplaatst in een nieuw netwerk. Hierdoor krijgt het gen een andere betekenis en verandert het hele netwerk.
